Primary vs Secondary Gems

Hi. So I’m currently doing last minute QA on our site, looking for bugs. I wanted to make sure you know that when Mr. Robot suggests secondary stat gems, it doesn’t mean it’s a bug!

Secondary gems now have 2x the stats as primary gems. For example: an Int gem will have 160 and a haste gem will have 320. This means that your stat weight for Int would need to be 2x higher than Haste for Mr. Robot to pick the Int gem. Does that make sense?

So I know a bunch you are going to think, “Ok, so I should edit the stat weights and just make sure Int is really high!” Nope! We’ve been doing a ton of research and mega-tons of SimC runs to get good default stat weights. Sometimes the primary stat is 2x as high, like Cat-Druids (Agi = 4.95 and Mastery = 2.02). And sometimes the primary stat is NOT 2x as high as the secondary stat, like Bear Druids (Agi = 1.7, dodge = 1.4 and mastery = 0.75).  They might not be perfect yet and will likely be tweaked a little here and there over the next few weeks. However, Blizzard intended to make secondary stat gems more interesting. And now they are!

This all being said, if you think you did find a bug, let us know. It’s possible Mr. Robot has been slacking when we’re not watching him, and PLAYING in game instead of RESEARCHING in game. Silly robot… I still have to login and clean out my inventory… maybe I can get him to do that for me.

PS: You can’t see level 90 stuff yet, but you can later tonight. I get access to the super special test build on the local server. Sorry :(
