The weekly cache offers a lot of gear choices, and if you’re looking for help picking the best reward, you’ve come to the right place.
Our addon collects the Great Vault reward options and the website uses sim data to return a ranked list in about 1 second. No messing around with setups or waiting for sims to finish running. We’ve done it all for you.
How do we do this? We’ve already simmed the necessary data to give you a customized answer, so you don’t have to fuss with setting up sim combos yourself or wait for the results. We have a giant network of computers (sometimes from users like you), that let us sim an incredible amount of data, including setups unique to your character and chosen covenant, soulbinds, talents, and gear. We analyze this data and store it in a database so it’s readily available when you need it.
How to rank your Great Vault rewards
For frequent Ask Mr. Robot users
Use the addon as you normally do. Choose the Great Vault search in the Upgrade Finder feature. That’s it!
And don’t miss out on the other Upgrade Finder searches, like the best Legendary, BoE’s worth buying, crafted gear worth making, etc.
For people new to our site
There’s a bit of a setup process that you have to do the first time you use the site. I can show you how to do this in 5 minutes. After that, getting your Great Vault items ranked will take just seconds.
Step 1: Get the addon installed. You can find it on our site or on the Curseforge app.
Step 2: Use the addon to grab your in-game gear information
In game, open the addon (click on the orange robot icon on the mini map), and go to the export tab. Copy the text string (which contains all of your gear information). For more help, see the full addon tutorial.
NOTE: If this is the first time you’ve used the addon, there are two things you need to do before copying that text from the addon. 1) Switch to every spec that you use. This lets the addon know what specs you use and the gear available. 2) Open your bags and bank before copying that text string. This lets the addon read all of the items from your bags and bank, and you won’t have to do that again as the addon will keep track.
Step 3: Import your gear and weekly Great Vault rewards into the website.
Now paste that text string into the website. This loads your character, equipped gear, all of the gear you own, as well as the Great Vault rewards for the week. See below for an example of where to paste the text string.
Step 4: Setup and run Best in Bags
Best in bags is a feature that finds a top set of gear for each of your specs. You want to run this first for two reasons:
- Other ranked lists compare items to your best setups, which are found with this feature
- You can create multiple setups for each spec (for example, one for raiding and one for M+).
Below is a picture tutorial to setup Best in Bags, followed by another picture of the results.
For more information on this feature, see the following tutorials:
Step 5: Rank your Great Vault rewards!
Now you can get a ranked list of the best Great Vault rewards. Go the the Upgrade Finder feature and select the “Great Vault” option at the top. On the left, you can choose a different setup (if you made more than one setup for your character, like raiding vs M+). Then click the green “Find Upgrades” button.
The results show up in a ranked list, with the percent increase to the right. This correlates to the amount of damage, healing, or tankiness you can expect from equipping the upgraded item.
Other ranked lists from the Upgrade Finder
Get a ranked gear list for almost any source of gear in Shadowlands. You can rank each list for any spec or setup that you have.
- Best legendary (see tutorial)
- Which raid bosses have the biggest upgrades
- Best dungeons or M+ to run for upgrades
- Best crafted gear
- BoE’s that might be worth purchasing
- PvP items
- Korthia gear
- A custom list that you create
Each list can be filtered based on some useful searches too. For example, try typing a boss name into the search bar, or a specific stat. All of the gear will be filtered down to only show the items matching your search.
Get premium for unlimited use
Best in Bags, the Upgrade finder, and Worst in Bags (to get rid of unnecessary gear) are premium and you get unlimited usage. New users get a 1 week free trial, no credit card is required (because we don’t want you to accidentally get charged when the trial runs out). We really do want you to try it before you buy it. If you love it, great! If you don’t, then it cost you nothing.
If you like the features, it’s just $12 per year (or $2 if you pay monthly). You get every premium feature for this price, which are powered by all of the sim data we run on our network to rank your gear. (We sim, so you don’t have to. But if you want to, you can!).
You can cancel online at any time (we don’t make it difficult).
