Zul’gurub adds some powerful enchants for the head, leg, and shoulder slots.
- Class specific head / leg enchants that requires turning in a Hakkari Idol, a Voodoo Doll, and Arcanum
- A head / leg enchant with Nature Resistance
- A Shoulder enchant that requires exalted with the Zandalar Tribe and 15 Honor Tokens
- A buff that increases all stats by 15% for 2 hours
ZG class head & leg enchants
These enchants are class-specific for the head and leg slots:
- Druid: Animist’s Caress
- Hunter: Falcon’s Call
- Mage: Presence of Sight
- Paladin: Syncretist’s Sigil
- Priest: Prophetic Aura
- Rogue: Death’s Embrace
- Shaman: Vodouisant’s Vigilant Embrace
- Warlock: Hoodoo Hex
- Warrior: Presence of Might
How to obtain them
You need Zandalar Tribe faction and two items to get your class enchant:
- Zandalar Tribe faction: Friendly. You can get friendly with 1 full clear of Zul’Gurub.
- 1x Punctured Voodoo Doll for your class. These have a chance to be looted from Jinxed Hoodoo Piles inside Zul’Gurub. I’ve seen reports that there are 7 piles in ZG and they respawn after 2 hours, but I have not been able to personally confirm that.
- 1x Primal Hakkari Idol. These have about a 30% chance to drop from two different Zul’Gurub bosses: Jin’do the Hexxer and Bloodlord Mandokir.
Once you have all of these things, turn into Zanza the Restless inside Zul’Gurub to get your enchant.
Note: in the original implementation of these enchants, an Arcanum was required in addition to the other requirements. This was later removed in a patch. I have several sources confirming you do not need the Arcanum in the Classic Zul’Gurub launch of these enchants.
Nature Resist head & leg enchant
Zanza the Restless can make the Savage Guard enchant for you, which gives nature resistance (good for Ahn’qiraj).
To get it you need to have completed the Elven Legends quest, get Honored with the Zandalar Tribe and get ONE of the following Arcanums:
ARCANUM | REQUIREMENTS TO GET IT |
---|---|
Arcanum of Focus | 1x Libram of Focus 2x Skin of Shadow 1x Pristine Black Diamond 4x Large Brilliant Shards |
Arcanum of Protection | 1x Libram of Protection 1x Frayed Abomination Stitching 1x Pristine Black Diamond 2x Large Brilliant Shards |
Arcanum of Rapidity | 1x Libram of Rapidity 2x Blood of Heroes 1x Pristine Black Diamond 2x Large Brilliant Shards |
ZG Shoulder Enchant
Once you reach Exalted with the Zandalar Tribe, you can complete the Signets of Zandalar quest for a shoulder enchant. You will also need 15 Zandalar Honor Tokens to complete the quest.
- Zandalar Signet of Might for Attack Power
- Zandalar Signet of Mojo for increased damage and healing from magic spells and effects
- Zandalar Signet of Serenity for increase healing from spells and effects
Raid buff: Spirit of Zandalar
Spirit of Zandalar buffs all of your stats by 15%. To get this buff, you have to be in Booty Bay or Yojamba Island when someone turns in the Heart of Hakkar quest.
Optimizing enchants & buffs for Classic
Our Classic WoW optimizer takes all of these enchants and buffs into consideration when running Best in Bags or creating the Best in Slot list. If you don’t have the enchants yet, or don’t want to count on having the Spirit of Zandalar buff, you can turn them off in the optimizer.
Turning these things on or off will affect your gear recommendations, so I highly suggest taking the time to customize the settings to what you’ll have for your next raid.
How to exclude enchants
- When looking at a Best in Slot or Best in Bags result, click on the enchant slot you want to customize.
- A window opens up with a list of enchants. Click the ‘no’ symbol to the right of any enchant to exclude it.
- Click the green “Re-Optimize” button below the gear list to get a new solution that doesn’t include that enchant.
How to turn the Spirit of Zandalar raid buff on / off
You can customize your raid buffs as well as these extra type of buffs in the optimizer. These buffs get factored into your final stats and will affect gear choices.
- Go the setup step in Best in Bags or Best in Slot. Look for the “Extra Buffs” section toward the bottom.
- Check the box for any buffs you want to include.
You can choose your selected raid buffs as well, which you can find a couple spots above the Extra Buff section.
